Sustainable paradigm
Through the use of an edge network, data traffic on networks and their energy consumption are drastically reduced.
Renewable energy
100% purchase of energy from renewable sources.
Solar energy ready
The facilities are designed to be powered by renewable energy, specifically photovoltaic, produced on-site.
Green design
Energy consumption is minimized, and efficiency is maximized through the use of modular solutions for high efficiency even with partial utilization.
Hot/Cold aisle containment
through compartmentalization, our EDCs reduce energy consumption and allow for more effective cooling by reducing the mixing of cold air in power aisles with hot air in exhaust lanes.
Water-free cooling
Conditioning systems that do not use water to ensure cooling but are equipped with air-free-cooling systems.
Green maintenance
Availability of electric recharging columns at each site to enable maintenance with electric vehicles.
Real estate re-use
Rai Way’s edge data centers are designed by redeveloping existing buildings at Rai Way transmission sites, giving new life to the area’s real estate assets.

Rai Way among the founders of IDA – Italian Datacenter Association
We strongly believe in the value of our Rai Way Edge project and in the sector’s prospects that are facilitating the ongoing digital transition. For this reason, we are a Founding Member of the Italian Datacenter Association (IDA), the first Italian association of data center builders and operators.
Together with IDA, we also work on the issue of education and environmental sustainability, with the goal of promoting environmental responsibility and sustainability that involve the entire sector in a collective and virtuous approach.
As a member of IDA, Rai Way shares the commitment of the Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact (CNDCP) to promote data centers that become an integral part of Europe’s sustainable future, with carbon-neutral activities by 2030.
